Raised primarily for meat. Fast growing they will reach about 8lbs in about seven weeks. And because they are great egg layers too, this has become the preferred duck for the backyard farmer. They cohabitate well with chickens too. Great foragers they can look after most of their dietary needs and they teach their chicks well too.
