Of the Marans, this is the most popular because of it’s ease of care. The Cuckoo Maran has less problems that any of it’s cousins making this the ideal one for those looking for dark brown eggs. They are both heat and cold tolerant and quite hardy with a strong resistance to disease. The roosters are considered the finest meat in France.
