Chickens
Whether you are looking for prolific egg layers like ISA Brown, White Leghorn, Rhode Island Reds or beautiful multi colour egg layers like Marans, Easter Egger, Ameraucana, etc., we have them.
Ducks
There are so many reasons to choose ducks for your backyard. They are generally healthier, hardier and quieter. Their eggs are superior to chickens and they lay more regularly too. They adhere to a more gentle pecking order and are also easier on your lawn. They do not require a pond at all, but if you have one, they will splash around it. Whether you raise them for eggs, meat or family fun, they are a great addition to your backyard. We can source out what ever ducks you like and add them to our next order of birds.
Geese
Probably the easiest of all birds to raise. Much easier than chickens, they are hardy and independent. They require much less food than other birds as they are great foragers as long as you have some lawn, pasture or garden for them to forage. They are much better at defending themselves than chickens, so they are a great addition to a small chicken flock that is free ranging. They have poor night vision so best to lock them up safe if you can. We have a very large pond, 2 acres, which they slip into when something moves nearby. Because of their large feet (great for paddling around), they can not roost like chickens, so they need clean floor space to settle down for the night. They are also excellent at alerting you to unwanted guests in the yard. We can source out what ever geese you like and add them to our next order of birds.
Turkeys
Their needs are very similar to chickens but because they are larger, they need more of it. So they are not well suited to small spaces. It is best not to raise them with chickens are they run a higher risk of contracting the disease histomoniasis (blackhead). They are slower to move than chickens making them easier as prey too. But if you can get past all this, they are adorable to raise as either meat or pets. We can source out what ever turkey you like and add them to our next order of birds.
