One of the most interesting and loved ducks. They have often been described as penguin ducks because of their upright stature when walking. They are excellent swimmers but do not need a pond. And in fact, it can be somewhat dangerous in breeding season as the males are aggressive and almost drown them when breeding. They are excellent forager requiring very little food to be healthy. Not great mothers, so if you want the ducklings to survive, scoop them up as quick as possible and into a secure protected area. They come in more colours than any other domestic duck.
